Liverpool striker Mo Salah's new look sparks hair transplant speculation

Mohamed Salah broke the internet a few days after the end of the Premier League season. 

The Egpytian king debuted a drastic new haircut across his social media profiles, completely shorn of his trademark do. 

It would appear there was more to it however than simply a change-up. 

In the days following Salah’s new do, fans have been going into overdrive, speculating whether or not the 31-year-old has had a hair transplant. 

As the procedure involves buzzcut, it would make perfect sense that Salah used the opportunity of the break at the end of the club season to have his corners filled. 

There is no doubt that the 211-goal Liverpool striker’s hairline is looking noticeably fuller. 

The Egyptian national team have been snapping images of their captain across the week as they warm up for a couple of World Cup qualifiers this month and Salah looks remarkably different.

It’s in stark contrast to what fans across social media were saying back in January, when the winter drizzle exposed what was compared to a “Krusty the Clown” cut. 

Perhaps it was inevitable from that point on that Salah would one day undergo the procedure and reverse the effects of what looked like his male pattern baldness.

The conspiracy theories around Salah’s hairline this week have reached feverpitch this week though with fans even MEASURING the angles of Salah’s hair in an attempt to prove or disprove whether or not he’s had a procedure done. 

We know it’s off season and there’s not much transfer business to discuss as yet but this really takes the biscuit.

There is no doubt his hairline looks healthier, since he joined up with the Pharaohs late last week after a quick post-season break. 

Egypt face Burkina Faso at home on Friday in the third matchday of the African World Cup qualification sequence before a trip to Guinea Bissau on Monday. 

The north Africa giants lead the way after two matches, winning six points out of six, with Salah top scoring in the group stage so far with four goals against Djibouti on matchday one.
