The speculation surrounding the future of Mohamed Salah has hit new heights following the video of him discussing his contract after Liverpool’s triumph against Southampton.

The Egyptian King revealed all, addressing his frustrations and how he hasn’t been offered anything in the slightest. Arguably the Reds best player this season, this isn’t how a true servant of the club should be treated.

Salah's trail of frustrations

We were first made aware of Mo’s thoughts after the Reds emphatic win over Manchester United at Old Trafford in September.

Following the match, the no.11 spoke in front of the Sky Sports cameras stating: “I said look, it could be the last time [coming to Old Trafford]. Nobody talked to me yet about contracts, so I just play my last season, and we'll see at the end of the season. But so far, yeah, my last game here with Liverpool."

Salah IGNORED by club

This led fans to become a bit wary of the future, but this was so early in the season, many thought this situation would be nipped in the bud quickly and a new deal offered shortly after these comments.

But this wasn’t the case. His cries for help were ignored. Arne Slot has been constantly peppered with questions about an update on the situation, but he has kept his lips tight leaving everyone confused and uncertain.

Salah’s next move came after the fantastic comeback against Brighton at Anfield where he scored a screamer which was ultimately the winner.

The game solidified the Reds' title charge and sent a message to the clubs around them that they were ready to fight this season.

Afterwards on Instagram, the winger poured his emotions into a post with the caption reading: “All teams win matches but there’s only 1 champion in the end. That’s what we want. Thank you for your support last night. No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like.”

What more can Salah do?

This increased anxiety even more. Salah was speaking like he was on his way out of the club, this would be his last season in front of the Anfield faithful. He was clearly becoming unsure about his own future, even though he clearly wanted to stay at the club.

Now, we have the latest release in this saga. His comments last night seem like his final plea. He has been direct about the club offering him nothing, he has been honest about wanting to stay and win titles with Liverpool, what more can he do?

His frustrations have been brewing and they’ve reached boiling point. Salah has calculated his wishes cleverly throughout the season hoping change would occur, but he hasn’t been successful. The Liverpool legend has been clear with what he wants.

There may be reasons why Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards don't want to offer him anything, but these are irrelevant for what Salah gives to the team. The board needs to act immediately.
