The heartbreaking agony that had Mo Salah’s family WORRIED
Mo Salah is the best player in the world at the moment, no questions asked. The Egyptian is in scintillating form for Liverpool and is breaking records while driving the club to another hopefully trophy-laden season.
At West Ham he became the first player in Premier League history to score AND assist in eight separate games in a single season. Reminder: we are only halfway through the year.

His form comes at a time when his future at Liverpool has never been less clear. His contract famously expires in the summer and if the club can’t come to an agreement, Salah will walk away from Anfield.
Even worse, in a few days he will be free to negotiate and potentially sign a deal with another club abroad.
Salah is a family man and is reportedly reluctant to move his daughters away from their life in Liverpool, but will want to be rewarded for his status as the best in the world with a contract that reflects that.
Now Salah’s sister, Rabab, has spoken out about how her brother’s emotional struggles, and how one moment affected the family.
Speaking to Egyptian newspaper Youm7, Rabab Salah has opened up on how she feels as a sister to one of the world’s biggest stars, especially how she worries when there is something that upsets him.
"Of course, I see him as a star, and I see his success and everything, but when you are a sister, you worry about him, and you are always concerned about whether he is upset or happy," she said. I mean, this is the feeling that controls me the most if there is something, for example, that bothers him in the club.”
Rabab, who now works as a fashion designer, says that the feeling has been with her since her brother was very little, and has grown with her as they have both matured.
But one "extremely difficult" moment in Salah's Liverpool career had them worried.
"It was extremely difficult for us,” Rabab said, about Salah’s shoulder injury in the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid.
Salah famously had to go off in the first half of the final after a bad challenge from Sergio Ramos that left him afraid of missing out on the World Cup with Egypt.
He was in agony on the pitch in Kyiv, and was devastated at having to go off in a game he desperately wanted to win.
“To be honest, all of Mohamed's injuries are not easy at all, and they are not easy for us either," Rabab said. "That injury took a toll on us, as was the time he fell on his head with Roma."
Thankfully for Rabab and Mo Salah, injuries have been few and far between in his career to date, with last season's hamstring injury one of the first major problems he's had to overcome during his time at Liverpool.
With six months left on his contract, another injury in the near future would be disastrous for both him and the club.
