Mo Salah puts MASSIVE pressure on FSG after latest contract response
Mo Salah has been, for all intents and purposes, the best player in the world so far this season.
His 16 goals and 13 assists in all competitions so far this season - including another assist against Fulham today - is simply staggering, even for a player of his quality.

And that’s off the back of some average performances by his standards recently. Even today he was largely wasteful when he got into good positions, yet still significantly impacted the game all the same.
This is all being done against the backdrop of a contract year for the Egyptian. At 32-years old, there is worry about when a physical drop-off will come as it does for all footballers. Yet he is already having arguably his best season since his first in a Liverpool shirt.
Salah has made his thoughts on his contract matter very clear. His recent player of the month award for November is just another indication of the level he is playing at.
And now Egyptian legend - and former teammate of Salah’s - Mohamed Aboutrika has said his compatriot is putting serious pressure on Liverpool to get the contract out.
Salah is forcing FSG to give him a contract
"Regardless of what was said about the contract, he speaks with his feet.” Aboutrika said to beIN Sport before today’s game against Fulham.
“I always prefer that football players speak with their feet rather than their tongues. Let others speak for you.
"Your performance and numbers—every time there are new records—speak for you.
"So I think he is putting more pressure on Liverpool's management and owners to renew his contract.
"Even on a personal level, he cares about all the details on and off the field.
"He offers something new every year, so I think it is an exceptional start [this year]. Salah's 13 [Premier League] goals brought Liverpool 11 points this season, and without him, I think Liverpool would not have been at the top."
If anyone can give an insight into Salah’s mind, it would be one of Egypt’s fellow icons. Aboutrika played 105 games for his country, scoring 38 times.
Aboutrika also led Egypt to victories in the Africa Cup of Nations in both 2006 and 2008 - scoring the winning penalty in the 2006 final shoot-out over Ivory Coast and the only goal in the 2008 final over Cameroon.
And his point on Salah is salient. FSG would have liked their decision to be easy. If Salah’s level had dropped off now, there would hardly be a discussion about what to do.
Instead, Salah is making a Ballon d’Or push.
He is almost directly forcing FSG’s hand to present him with exactly what he’s demanding. And while this level almost definitely won’t be sustained over the duration of any additional contract, Liverpool would welcome even 50% of the level he’s currently at.
FSG’s decision is easy. Salah had made sure of that.
