Liverpool Transfer News: Gigantic continental rivals CONFIRM Mo Salah plans
Mo Salah’s contract status has been the foremost of stories at Liverpool so far this season.
The club’s talisman - who is once again proving his worth with 29 goal involvements already this season - is currently not contracted beyond the end of the season.

This is obviously a serious problem, and work is seemingly being done to retain Salah’s services whilst planning for a future without him if worst comes to worst.
If he were to leave Liverpool, it seemed most likely that Saudi Arabia would secure his services, although PSG were reportedly taking a serious run at the Egyptian.
But a sensational report from CaughtOffside suggests that Egypt’s two premier sides, Al Ahly and Zamalek, also put in offers for their nation’s greatest ever player.
Could Salah be headed back to Egypt?
These reports were, however, laughed off by Zamalek club board member Hussein El-Sayed to Egyptian outlet Al-Masry Al-Youm.
"Mohamed Salah is a great value that we are proud of and brings us pride, but we are not interested in his services, and I don't think that playing outside Europe is one of his goals.” said El-Sayed on the matter.
"That English report is funny and cannot be taken seriously. Perhaps it is an editorial error. I thought at first that it was a translation error."
It wouldn’t have been the first time that Zamalek and Salah were linked. Salah has gone on the record for his desire to play for either of the Egyptian giants, saying in an interview when he was playing for Basel that it would be a dream to join either, yet Zamalek rejected him as he needed “more time”.
A move back to his homeland would make sense sentimentally, but in making his breakthrough with Al Mokawloon and the financial aspect, the aforementioned moves seem more likely.
Who are the Egyptian sides reportedly in for Salah?
Al Ahly and Zamalek are the two most successful teams in Egyptian history.
Their rivalry is somewhat one-sided, with Al Ahly winning 44 league titles at time of writing to Zamalek’s 14. Zamalek are serial runners up, finishing second 34 times.
Both sides are also Africa’s most successful intercontinental sides, with Al Ahly winning the AFC Champions League 12 times, including currently being back-to-back winners, whilst Zamalek have lifted the trophy 5 times (most recently in 2002), the same amount as Congolese side TP Mazembe.
Al Ahly have also appeared in every AFC Champions League final since 2019-20, and the two played each other in that final with Al Ahly emerging 2-1 winners.
