Liverpool wonderkid shows he is READY to replace Mo Salah after INCREDIBLE display
The youth movement that Liverpool are enjoying this season keeps going from strength to strength.
17-year old Trey Nyoni was involved with the first team matchday squad again last night, while Tyler Morton made his Champions League first team squad earlier in the season also.
Liverpool’s loanees are also going well on their travels elsewhere. Owen Beck and Lewis Koumas have made headlines of late, but it is Ben Doak’s time at Middlesbrough that seems to be really turning heads.

And last night’s display against Sheffield United was just another iteration of the Ben Doak show. The youngster recorded four shots himself alongside five shot creating actions and 10 progressive carries.
The highlight of these came late on in the game as he dribbled past Sheffield United’s left-back Rhys Norrington-Davies to test goalkeeper Michael Cooper at his near post.
The display awarded him a 7.2 rating on FotMob and Middlesbrough fans took to Twitter afterwards to shower Doak with praise.
“Can we steal Ben Doak forever?” writes @CJ_Guilfoyle, clearly impressed with the Liverpool man.
Matty Hewitt of Teeside Live, meanwhile, afforded Doak a team-high rating of 8/10, writing “Easily Boro's best player on the pitch over the course of the 90 minutes. Had a good battle with McCallum and was Boro's best threat throughout.”
@BoroBoy151 also tweeted “I thought Doak was Boro’s MOM and had his best game for the club so far. Terrorised their LB off the pitch and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet.”
Despite only being about to turn 19 in early November, this is exactly what Liverpool were hoping for by sending Doak out on loan. The Scottish international has shown heaps of talent and appears wise beyond his years.
The Championship is no joke, with a demanding schedule and a host of hardened veterans to play against. If Doak is able to continue his shining streak then it has very positive implications for Liverpool.
The right-winger may just be about to force his way into the Liverpool squad after the end of the season. Mo Salah may be on his way out of the club and Federico Chiesa is yet to display the ability to stay fit.
At a bare minimum, Doak could provide some much-needed quality depth at the position.
