One of the favourites for the role is Milos Kerkez, who Anfield Watch exclusively revealed held talks with Liverpool earlier this season.

But he is not the only option for the Reds. Anfield Watch also exclusively revealed that the club are looking at Newcastle United's Lewis Hall.

Meanwhile, Jorrel Hato has also been heavily linked with a move.

And there's other potential targets who will be on Richard Hughes' radar that no one will have heard of yet considering the data team will have assembled an extensive list.

Liverpool's perfect Andy Robertson replacement

On the latest Anfield Watch YouTube channel the conversation centred around the club's potential targets to replace Roberton.

Anfield Watch writer, George James, made his choice declaring that Liverpool should be looking at a player who could be the best defender in the world for many years to come.

"It is so difficult and I mean all of these players have clear quality because they wouldn't be linked with Liverpool if they didn't," James said.

"I think I'm actually gonna be difficult and say two names. I think Lewis Hall is the player who is closest to being the complete, ready to step up and can just walk into this Liverpool side.

"And there won't need to be that bigger period of transition. And in a summer that's gonna be full of change anyway, I think. Maybe he's the safest bet in terms of he has the Premier League experience.

"He's very similar to Andy Robertson. Profile wise, you feel like there are gonna be a lot of players this summer that Slot has to put in extra work with on the training ground to get them ready for Liverpool next year.

"And Lewis Hall might not be that, but I do think that in my heart of hearts, the opportunity to sign Hatto this summer, I think he's going to be a generational talent.

"I think he'll be one of the best defenders in world football over the next decade, and his price is only gonna go up, I think. So why not bring him in now and, and be able to mould him into the perfect player that you want?

"I think that he's definitely a player that if you were to say in five years time, he'll be playing for real Madrid, not many people would be shocked by that statement.

"So maybe Liverpool should be proactive and, and go out and, and sign that generational talent now whilst they can, whilst the opportunity's there," James concluded.
