Liverpool legend’s son sends come and get me plea to Richard Hughes
Legend is often a bandied about word in football these days, but there are some who have earned that accolade.
For Liverpool, Emile Heskey is probably one of those players. He served the club during an iconic era, winning a treble with the Reds in 2001.

Forming an iconic duo with Michael Owen, Heskey played over 200 games for Liverpool and won six trophies in total during his four year spell at the club.
Since he retired, he's also played several games for Liverpool's legend team and has become an iconic figure at the club.
Yet strangely, for some reason, both of his sons have gone onto represent Manchester City, and not Liverpool.
Out of Jaden and Reigan, the biggest talent is probably the latter one, who could be the next big thing to come out of Manchester City's academy and who just sent a massive exhibition of his exciting talent.
Reigan Heskey sends come and get me plea
Reigan Heskey is just 17-years-old and was actually born in Liverpool. This season he's been on another level for Manchester City making 35 goal contributions (26 goals and nine assists) in 35 games at all levels within the academy.
Most recently, Heskey lined up at the AXA Training centre, taking on Liverpool's U18 side in what was a massive demolition job.
Heskey scored twice and registered an assist during a 5-0 victory for City and was a constant threat throughout the game.
This performance right in front of Liverpool will have been a come and get me plea in some sense from Heskey considering his future remains uncertain at City.
Heskey has not yet signed a professional contract with Liverpool's rivals despite turning 17-years-old. We've written about previously why this is significant and why he's considering his options at the moment.
Over the last few years, we've seen many academy talent leave City at around a similar age in their careers.
Jadon Sancho and Jamie Gittens went to Manchester City for example. Jeremie Frimpong joined Celtic. Meanwhile, Cole Palmer found a home at Chelsea.
For Liam Delap it was at Ipswich meanwhile Morgan Rogers joined Middlesbrough before finding himself at Aston Villa.
All of the aforementioned players were stand-out talents in the City academy but opted to leave because their paths were blocked to the first team.
Heskey is very much in the same boat with little ability to progress further into the first team. This is something Liverpool can provide and have done so time and time again.
From Conor Bradley to Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah - over the last few seasons, Liverpool have promoted plenty of young talent to become stable first team players.
Even this season, the likes of Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha have tasted first team action under Arne Slot.
On the left-wing, Liverpool will also soon have a vacancy if Luis Diaz departs the club and the pathway to getting that breakthrough is clearly a lot more straightforward.

That's why in very much a Cole Palmer esque move, Richard Hughes should look to sign Reigan Heskey. With a name like that it's only right that he joins the Reds.
