'I'm really sorry to say' - Klopp makes shock Premier League title admission

Arsenal are top of the Premier League table with only seven matches to go, level on points with Liverpool in second place but boasting a superior goal difference to the Merseysiders.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are only a single point further back in one of the closest Premier League title races for years.

Liverpool missed the chance to go top following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday and their title fate is again out of their own hands.

Although Luis Diaz put the Reds 1-0 up during the first half, Liverpool were wasteful in front of goal, rattling in 15 shots in the opening period while United had none.

After the break, however, Bruno Fernandes equalised in extraordinary circumstances before Kobbie Mainoo put his side 2-1 up.

In a game they dominated from start to finish, Liverpool were left relying on a late Mohamed Salah penalty to rescue a point

United, however, could still have plenty of sway in the title race with Arsenal visiting Old Trafford in their penultimate league game before taking on Everton on the last day of the season.

And Klopp admits that if Liverpool are still in the title race by then he will be cheering for the Red Devils but the manager adds he doesn’t hold out much hope of United being able to beat Mikel Arteta's side.

'Arsenal will win, I'm 100 percent sure'

"Probably,” he said when asked if he’d be supporting United in that game. “If we are still around then that would be great.

“Arsenal is a good football team and if [United] play like they did today, Arsenal will win that game, I'm 100 percent sure. I'm really sorry to say that but this is a matter of fact.

"We should've won both games [in the league and FA Cup vs United] and didn't. That's our fault. In all the time I've been here, we never dominated United like we did in these two games - but we didn't win them.

"We are who we are and we are where we are where and I'm absolutely fine with that. I knew it would be super tricky until the end. Until yesterday, we were top of the table, now it's Arsenal. We want to be top after 38 matches."
