There have, however, been a couple that have found their moves more difficult. Stefan Bajcetic’s time at Red Bull Salzburg has been up and down - as has the club’s entire season under former Liverpool assistant Pep Ljinders.

Another that is seemingly struggling is attacker Kaide Gordon, who went on loan to Norwich City on transfer deadline day.

Gordon has made eight appearances so far this season, with only one start. Those appearances have totalled just 165 minutes, yet he has managed to score a goal despite limited time on the pitch.

The attacker hasn’t been involved in Norwich’s matchday squad for any of Norwich’s last three games, and hasn’t made an appearance since an injury-time cameo in a 2-2 draw with West Brom in the middle of November.

He hasn’t had any substantial time on the pitch since his only start, a 2-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday on November 5th.

Liverpool considering recalling Kaide Gordon

And now, the Liverpool Echo is reporting that Liverpool are planning talks with Norwich and haven’t ruled out recalling the youngster to send him out to a different Championship club.

The report also says there is an expectation at Norwich that Gordon will be recalled, but the club are yet to make a definitive call.

Gordon himself is clearly a talented player who the club have a duty to ensure is in the right place for his development constantly.

He became Liverpool’s youngest goalscorer in FA Cup history back in 2022 when he bagged in the Reds’ 4-1 win over Shrewsbury Town.

He also has recorded 13 goal involvements for the under-23 Premier League 2 side in just 24 games, as well as 10 in 10 for the under-18s earlier in his career.

Hopefully his next destination is the one where he can get his real moment in the sun, because wasting this potential would be unforgivable.
