Liverpool closing in on £40m Jorrel Hato transfer as star MAKES decision
Jorrel Hato is moving closer to a transfer to Liverpool after he has reportedly made a big decision about his future.
The 19-year-old Dutch teenage prospect was spotted at Anfield earlier this season. He's believed to be on the club's radar and he has a strong friendship with Ryan Gravenberch.

With a strong contingency of Dutch players already at Liverpool and even more coaches in the backroom staff working alongside Arne Slot, this is a move that just makes sense on paper.
Hato has established himself as one of the prime young prospects in the Netherlands. He seems like the next one to make a big name for himself from Ajax's renowned academy.
And Liverpool are in need of reinforcing the position that he plays in. The left-back position has been a vulnerable spot for the Reds. Andy Robertson is no longer playing at the same level he once used to be playing at.

Liverpool need a younger option, someone who can be a long-term successor to Robertson's throne.
Hato closes in on Liverpool move
Hato seems like that long-term successor, he's perfect for the role and could even play as a centre-back. In an exclusive interview with Anfield Watch, Dutch expert Jorn Aanders pointed out that Hato has shades of Van Dijk about him.
At 19-years-old, he's already accomplished a lot and he can be moulded into a world-class talent under Slot.
Liverpool clearly have him on the club's radar as well, which has been confirmed by a report from TBR, who claim that Jorrel Hato is expected to move to England this summer in their latest update.
The report claims that Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in the player and that Hato would cost £40m.
That 'expectation' is a significant development, it would suggest Hato is very much closing in on a departure away from Ajax and not only that but a move to England.
With his options narrowed down to just Arsenal and Liverpool, based on the report's claims it's essentially a 50-50 decision.
If we really want to dive deeper into it, the decision is even more weighted in Liverpool's favour.
Arsenal are stacked with left-back options. They brought in Riccardo Calafiori last summer and Hato's pathway into regular first team football would be extremely murky there.
At Liverpool, that pathway is a lot clearer. On top of that the strong Dutch contingent makes this a no brainer of a decision for Hato.

Meaning that his £40m switch to Anfield should pretty much be written in the stars if the report is accurate. This latest development means Liverpool are edging closer to getting their man.
