Liverpool have recently been linked with Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry to replace Mohamed Salah if he doesn't sign a new deal.

Due to the uncertainty around Mo Salah's contract, Liverpool have started to be linked with a lot of wide forward players to potentially replace him.

Ajax's Antony has been one player on the tongue of journalists to be the Egyptian's long-term successor.

Other names linked with replacing Salah have been Leeds United's Raphinha and West Ham's Jarrod Bowen.

A lot of names linked seem to be projects that Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff can improve and potentially make into the next world superstar.

However, according to Goal, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Liverpool are interested in world-class winger Serge Gnabry.

The Reds join Real Madrid in being interested in the German. Gnabry's deal with Bayern ends at the end of next season and he is still yet to agree new terms with the German side.

Bayern have been trying to tie Gnabry down to fresh terms but are not yet close to reaching any kind of renewal agreement, according to the report.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Gnabry would be the perfect Mo Salah replacement if he was to leave. The German is just as comfortable on the left-wing as he is on the right-wing, something we know Liverpool like in a player.

Since joining Bayern Munich in 2017, Gnabry has become a superstar, scoring 61 goals and getting 40 assists in 163 appearances.

With his contract set to end at the same time as Salah's, if the Egyptian was to leave then the 26-year-old would come straight in as a starter on that right-hand side.

The fact that the other club interested in Gnabry is Real Madrid is good for Liverpool. They're on the cusp of signing Kylian Mbappe and they already have an abundance of talent up front so the German might not be guaranteed a spot.

We're all still hopeful that Salah extends his contract at Liverpool but if he doesn't, we could do a lot worse than signing Gnabry to replace him.
