Virgil van Dijk and THREE other centre backs who inspire Liverpool's Quansah
Jarell Quansah has been studying Sergio Ramos, Leonardo Bonucci and John Stones in order to improve his game.
The 21-year-old broke into the Liverpool side under Jurgen Klopp last season as he made his debut against Newcastle United. He seriously impressed considering the Reds were down to 10 men.
He went on to make 33 appearances in all competitions for the season and in the run-in he was even the preferred partner to Virgil van Dijk over Ibrahima Konate.
Now it has been revealed by the Daily Mail that Ramos, Bonucci and Stones can have some credit when it comes to his development.
As well as this Joel Matip was giving him advice when he had his long-term injury last season pointing out to him the areas he can improve.
Van Dijk ‘massive’ for Quansah
Quansah has made sure it is his responsibility to ensure he can continue developing as he has even asked the club for drone footage and wide angles of Van Dijk’s defending.
However, he knows that just being able to play with the Dutchman and train with him has been big for his career trajectory.

He said: “Virgil is a Rolls-Royce. He's everything I want to be as a centre-back. I can take so much from him. I've learned so much, not just from Virg but from the entire backline.
“He's the best centre back in the world. Having a role model like that who I've always looked up to is massive for me.”
In Philadelphia, Quansah spoke about how long he has waited to be a starting option for Liverpool.
“For me, I've always wanted to be a starting centre-back for Liverpool so it's never been like I've (just) landed here.
“You've all seen it as the last year but I've been working for 16 years at Liverpool, grafting away which you probably don't see. That's always been my goal and plan,” said the former Bristol Rovers loanee.
Quansah has started the first two pre-season games in the USA as he looks set to be a key man under Arne Slot hence why any offer from Newcastle was swiftly rejected.
