Speaking in a recent interview, Fabinho has said how much he loves Liverpool and that he isn't thinking about a future away from Anfield any time soon.

Talking about his future, Fabinho told LiverpoolFC.com that he is only thinking about Liverpool and not about moving to another country or club.

“Liverpool is a special place – there’s nowhere better to play football, so my head is fully focused here,” said Fabinho.

“I don’t know what my situation will be like in four years, but at this moment I only think of Liverpool. I don’t think about moving to another team or country because I’m very happy here. It’s a special club and, most importantly, one which fights for every trophy.

“What I want for my career is to be part of a competitive side and win as much as possible. And the best place to do that is definitely Liverpool.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Fabinho has been an essential part of Jurgen Klopp's side since the Reds signed him from AS Monaco in 2018 for a reported fee of £40m.

The defensive midfielder has already racked up 157 appearances for Liverpool and with him signing a new contract last summer that keeps him at Anfield until 2026, he is set to be a Liverpool mainstay for years to come.

Klopp also understands how important Fabinho is to his Liverpool side. In a press conference earlier this year, as cited by EOTK, the Liverpool manager said that when Fab plays he can focus on other things as the Brazilian is so good at his job.

"If he is at his best, and is in the centre of that pitch, yes that’s then very, very helpful because then you can think about a lot of other things. You can organise your protection completely different because you can rely on different things.

"If you don’t have that, you organise your protection differently but it’s completely out of the box because usually we do it like this and now everything has to change because he’s not there, so all these kind of things, that needs time."
