Since his absence, Arne Slot’s men have shipped 5 goals in 3 Premier League games with two of these results ending in draws.

According to reports, he should be back towards the end of January, but fans are praying it will be sooner.

Konate ridiculed

Injuries as a player are both physically and emotionally straining. The hours and work put in to perform on the pitch are cruelly taken away by a moment of madness.

And with the rise of social media, fans are quick to ridicule certain players when it happens.

This was certainly the case when Konate picked up his. One Arsenal fan on X said, ‘Rivalry aside, I hope Konate’s injury is serious'.

An obviously sickening and horrible comment to issue to anyone.

Saka suffers same injury fate

Yesterday, Bukayo Saka picked up what seems to be a terrible injury to his hamstring. He was subbed off in the first half with the Gunners eventually running out as 5-1 winners.

But a video released on social media after the game saw the winger hobbling out of the ground on crutches, a sore sight for Arsenal fans.

The same Arsenal fan who tweeted about Konate’s recovery then made a post consoling Saka.

However, Liverpool fans picked up on this and were quick to point out his original tweet about Konate with one Liverpool stating ‘Karma’s a bitch’

Konate himself actually saw this and responded to the fan in an incredibly mature fashion.

He stated, ‘We are not like them, we wish no harm’.

The Frenchman’s comment shows his class. He is imploring Reds to not sink to the level of other rival fans who disrespected him and in a way, respect all players no matter who they play for.

He also wished the Reds good luck in today’s clash against Tottenham.

Us as a fanbase are incredibly lucky to have a player like Ibou who shows his class both on and off the pitch.
