Liverpool boss Arne Slot reveals major Ibrahima Konate injury update
There were a lot of things that went awry in the first half against Brighton but none more so than the injury to Ibrahima Konate.
The Frenchman had been one of Liverpool's best performers in the game, and probably one of the best performers all season.
However, with Brighton taking an early lead, matters were made even worse at the end of the first half as Ibrahima Konate wobbled off the pitch holding his arms in great discomfort.
Konate did not reemerge in the second-half with Joe Gomez coming on to replace him which has left Liverpool fans all around the globe chewing their fingers nails in anxious anticipation of an injury update.

Liverpool give Ibrahima Konate injury update
Speaking to reporters in his post-match press conference after the Brighton game, Arne Slot revealed just how much pain Konate was in at half-time.
"Lot of pain at half time, it was a disappointment he had to go off," Slot said.
"Good thing is I have two very good options in Quansah and Gomez. Quansah was tired at the end of Brighton, I felt I had to bring in someone fitter than Jarell was."
When pressed on the extent of Konate's injury. Slot revealed he doesn't know the full details just yet.
"Konate? Don't know yet, he has not been hospital yet. He may not even have to go yet, it's always too early to say just after the game," The Liverpool boss added.
Although he could not give an exact time frame of when Konate would return. It remains to be seen when we will see the Frenchman back in action.

The blow will be hugely frustrating for Konate. He has struggled with fitness and injuries since arriving at Liverpool, but this has been his best run in terms of being able to make himself available in the line-up.
He has featured in all but one of Liverpool's first 15 matches of the season - this is the most minutes he has played during the opening 15 matches in his Reds career so far.
The fact that it was not a muscle injury or anything fitness related that handed Konate this blow but rather an unfortunate landing will be especially irksome.
The Reds will now hope he will be able to return back to action as soon as possible.
