Journalist Roger Gonzalez took Twitter earlier this week to state that Liverpool have 'entered the race' to sign Dallas forward Ricardo Pepi.

Gonzalez further added that Inter Milan are also looking to sign the 18-year-old. Pepi's contract expires in December 2026.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

If Liverpool are genuinely interested in Pepi, it's not hard to see why. The 18-year-old forward has scored 16 goals in 55 appearances for Dallas.

Pepi has also found the back of the net three times in two appearances for USA. Transfermarkt value the striker at €2.50 million.

Therefore, it would be fair to assume that Pepi will not cost Liverpool too much in terms of a transfer fee.

It was reported last week that Wolfsburg have agreed to personal terms with the youngster. However, we have no idea if this is true or not.

Only time will tell if Liverpool are to sign Pepi. For now, we are just going to sit back and enjoy watching the Reds play.
