Stop EVERYTHING: Harry Kane wants to join Liverpool
One of the more prominent issues in what has been an amazingly successful season for Liverpool has been the centre-forward position.
The longer the season has gone on the more apparent it has become that the answer at the position is not currently on the books at Liverpool.

Diogo Jota started the season up top and was passable there until his repeated injuries have resulted in just two goals and an assist in the entirety of 2025 so far.
Darwin Nunez is the natural replacement in Liverpool’s squad but it is clear that head coach Arne Slot doesn’t trust him to do that job with any consistency. That was displayed when he started playing Luis Diaz at centre-forward instead mid-way through the season.
Nunez has managed to record seven goals and seven assists in 40 appearances in all competitions this season. For a team trying to win every competition they’re in this simply isn’t a good enough standard.
Rumours have since emerged of a whole host of names that could be brought in this summer - Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko, Marcus Thuram, Hugo Ekitike.
But, shockingly, a new rumour has emerged of a true megastar open to a move to Anfield.
Does Harry Kane want to move to Liverpool?
According to a new report by Catalan outlet El Nacional, England captain Harry Kane would be keen on a move to Liverpool.
The report says that “Sources close to the player's environment have leaked that Kane is seriously considering a return to the Premier League at the end of this season” as he’d like to end his career back in England.
And, due to the position his career is in, Liverpool are the ideal candidates to secure his signature if this is the case. Liverpool have the “ideal context” for a move: an “ambitious project, established coach and real aspirations”.
A deal is difficult to imagine due to Kane being under contract with Bayern Munich until 2027, but the report alleges that “the player's willingness could be decisive if Liverpool launch a strong offensive in the summer.”
This is one of those moves that would be monumental for the football world if it ended up happening.
If Kane really does want to return to England then Liverpool are basically the only team that make sense to sign him. At 31 years old and with an impeccable goalscoring record for a decade now, he would only sign for a team that could consistently compete at the top level of all competitions.
Manchester City have Erling Haaland. Arsenal would make him a social pariah due to the 20 years he spent at Tottenham Hotspur. Chelsea are still in a transitional period, whereas Manchester United and Tottenham won’t even be playing European football next season.
That only leaves Liverpool as the logical option.
Kane would be a truly ridiculous signing for the Reds (in the best possible way). He has 21 goals in 24 Bundesliga games this season, as well as 10 in 11 Champions League matches.
He is England’s record goalscorer by a far margin with 70 goals and counting. But a return to the Premier League would be spurred on by a desire to become the league’s all-time top goalscorer. Kane sits second with 213 goals, just 47 behind Alan Shearer’s 260.
Realistically, 47 goals in the next two seasons for Liverpool is more than doable.
We’ll have to wait and see how realistic this one emerges as. But if it did then it would make Liverpool the single most frightening prospect in world football.

There are lots of players in big five leagues who were rumoured to joining Liverpool but see where they are now ! Bellingham , Mbappe , Jubimendi , Caicedo , Lavia and some others were heavily linked with the club and Caicedo and Jubimendi have even snubbed them after agreeing in principle so this Kane rumour should be taken in that light and moreover Liverpool don't by 30+ players so keep watching what is in the store till the 2025 summer market unfolds !
