Liverpool have ANOTHER amazing goalkeeper READY for first team promotion
Liverpool’s goalkeeping department is one of the strongest on the planet, and the jewel in the crown is Alisson Becker.
Regarded by many as the best in the world in his position, Alisson has been the Reds’ first choice ‘keeper since his arrival in 2018.
He is also backed up by ‘the best number two in the world', Caoimhin Kelleher, who has stepped up once again this season when called upon.

The Reds have even seen the introduction of a third goalkeeper this season, Vitezslav Jaros, who has also impressed in his brief time on the pitch.
There may however be another young goalkeeper ready to step up and prove himself for the first team if he’s given the chance in the next few seasons.
Harvey Davies: Liverpool’s match-winning hero
Harvey Davies, a product of the Reds academy, was the hero for the u21s on Wednesday night when they took on Blackpool at Bloomfield Road in the group stage of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
The match ended a goalless draw, but there were a number of impressive performances, including from Oakley Cannonier.
In the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, when a group stage game ends as a draw it is followed by a penalty shootout. The team that wins takes two points from the match whereas the team that loses only takes the usual one point.
In the penalty shootout following the draw Davies stepped up and saved two penalties, including the one that secured the extra point for his side, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough for the young Reds to qualify for the next round.
The future of Liverpool’s goalkeeping department
Although Alisson and Kelleher are the current faces of the goalkeeping department at Anfield, it is likely that the Irish back-up will depart this summer.
There have also been rumours of Alisson’s departure either at the end of this season or after next season, and therefore Liverpool have had to start forward planning.
They made a good start when they agreed a deal for Georgian ‘keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will join the Reds next summer.
There could also be a chance for Davies to make the step up to the first team. He gained experience playing senior football when he spent last season on loan at Crewe Alexandra and if Alisson and Kelleher were to leave, he could be a valid option for Arne Slot between the sticks in the future.
