Liverpool fixtures: Reds' next five matches after Bournemouth win

Liverpool returned from their mini winter break in style on Sunday, hammering in-form Bournemouth 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium.

The Reds hadn't been in action for well over a week, but they were sharp on the south coast at the weekend.

Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota both bagged themselves second-half braces, with Liverpool restoring their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table despite a raft of injuries.

However, the games will be coming characteristically thick and fast over the next few weeks, with the Reds in action across three different competitions.

Jurgen Klopp will hope to welcome back some of his long and short-term absentees in what could prove a pivotal period for his side.

Here are the next five Liverpool fixtures in all competitions.

FULHAM VS LIVERPOOL - CARABAO CUP

Having beaten Fulham 2-1 at Anfield in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final, Liverpool could book their place at Wembley Stadium when they travel to Craven Cottage this coming Wednesday.

The Reds may have a one-goal advantage heading to London, but Marco Silva's side have already proved how much of a threat they can be against the Reds, the Cottagers scoring four in the two previous meetings this term.

However, Klopp has hinted that the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai and Andy Robertson could return for the clash, even if from the bench.

That would serve as a huge boost to Liverpool as they try to make the Carabao Cup final for the second time in three years.

LIVERPOOL VS NORWICH CITY - FA CUP

After beating Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium in their tricky third round clash, Liverpool have been rewarded with a home tie against Championship Norwich in the fourth round.

The Canaries beat Bristol Rovers in their replay to book a trip to Anfield, with Norwich boss David Wagner set for a reunion with good friend Klopp on the touchline.

With some high-profile games either side of the clash with Norwich, it's likely that Klopp will rest and rotate for their visit, but the Reds should have more than enough to progress regardless of team selection.

A one-game loan signing of Luis Suarez, anyone?

LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA - PREMIER LEAGUE

The Reds opened their Premier League campaign with a trip to Chelsea, a game that ended 1-1 at Stamford Bridge. However, the two clubs have gone down very different paths since.

While Liverpool top the table, the west London side currently sit in ninth -  a whopping 17 points off Liverpool.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are also struggling with injuries, but still have some quality individuals within their ranks, somewhat unsurprisingly given their immense spending in recent transfer windows.

On paper, it should prove one of Liverpool's easier fixtures against the traditional 'Big Six' clubs this season, but complacency could prove costly - Chelsea have already taken points of Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and indeed the Reds this term.

It will be interesting to see what reception a certain Moises Caicedo gets at Anfield...

ARSENAL VS LIVERPOOL - PREMIER LEAGUE

The Reds' first game in February is a big, big, big one.

Liverpool travel to Arsenal in the Premier League as they look to make a statement in the title race, with Man City eagerly awaiting the outcome at the Emirates.

As mentioned, Liverpool have already won there this season in the FA Cup, but the previous league meeting ended 1-1 just before Christmas at Anfield.

Arsenal's recent 5-0 win over Crystal Palace put them back on track after a four-game winless run in all competitions, but they remain five points off the Reds at present.

If Liverpool could come away from north London with all three points, they would have passed a huge test in their bid to become Premier League champions.

LIVERPOOL VS BURNLEY

Liverpool close out their next five fixtures by welcoming Burnley to Anfield in February. With the Clarets currently languishing in the relegation zone, this is a must-win fixture for the Reds.

Recent history would suggest it may be fairly straightforward, Liverpool easing to a 2-0 victory at Turf Moor on Boxing Day despite some questionable officiating.

Vincent Kompany's side have won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions, with Liverpool having beaten the Clarets in nine of their last 12 meetings.
