Liverpool fixtures: the Reds' next five games after dramatic win over Fulham
In the words of a certain former Manchester United manager: Football. Bloody hell.
Liverpool came from 3-2 down to win 4-3 at home to Fulham – with every strike a goal-of-the-season contender.
The Reds kept up their perfect home record this season, making it seven wins from seven in the Premier League and kept themselves within touching distance of the Premier League summit at the start of December.
If you thought Sunday was already intense, the pressure (along with the frequency of matches) only increases from here as we get stuck into the Festive Fixtures proper.
Here's what lies in wait for Liverpool in their next five matches.

SHEFFIELD UNITED VS LIVERPOOL - PREMIER LEAGUE
Next up, Liverpool make a midweek trip to Bramall Lane to take on newly-promoted stragglers Sheffield United.
Early signs indicate that the Blades are destined for relegation, having only won once and being made victim to an 8-0 home thrashing at the hands of Newcastle.
However, United will take motivation from the fact fellow promoted outfit Luton pushed Liverpool to their absolute limits, despite the vast majority of fans writing the Hatters off before a ball was kicked.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS LIVERPOOL - PREMIER LEAGUE
The second of three consecutive away games Liverpool are tasked with in December, Liverpool will make the trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.
We were treated to a pair of stalemates between the two sides last season – one of which included a rogue headbutt from whacky Darwin Nunez. What is he like!
Here's hoping for less needless red cards and more goals in this one.
It's also ANOTHER early Saturday kick-off for Liverpool to endure. No prizes for guessing how that pre-match presser will go.

ROYAL UNION SAINT-GILLOISE VS LIVERPOOL - EUROPA LEAGUE
Rounding off Liverpool's next five is a dead rubber.
Making the trip to Belgium to take on Union SG in their final Europa League group game, the Reds are already confirmed as group winners, meaning they can give the kids a run out and keep some key players fresh for the frantic festive fixture list.

LIVERPOOL VS MANCHESTER UNITED - PREMIER LEAGUE
The Big One.
Liverpool host Manchester United on 17 December – their first meeting in any competition since the 7-0 last season.
The Reds will hope to have Alisson back in goal for the occasion, with Jurgen Klopp having provisionally hinted that this could be when the injured stopper returns.
Liverpool have the chance to pile more pressure on United and fans have come to expect big scorelines in this fixture.

LIVERPOOL VS WEST HAM - LEAGUE CUP
Liverpool's penultimate game before Christmas sees them host West Ham in the League Cup quarter final.
While this competition sits firmly bottom of Klopp's pecking order in terms of priority, the Reds are now just two wins from the final...
The congestion in late December means the Liverpool boss may chop and change his side, with two more games (in six days) still to play in 2023 after this one.
