Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara could play against Cardiff City at Anfield on Sunday.

The Spaniard suffered a hip injury at the backend of December. With that being the case, Thiago has missed Liverpool's last seven matches.

But, the 30-year-old has reportedly returned to training and could feature in the club's fourth round FA Cup fixture on Sunday.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Thiago is a world-class footballer. There is a reason why the midfielder has played for the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

However, there is no denying that we are yet to see the best of Thiago at Anfield due to injuries. The Spaniard has only made 44 appearances for Liverpool since signing for the club back in the summer of 2020.

But, we do know that if Thiago can stay fit, he will perform well for the Reds.

As we have already pointed out, the midfielder has played for some of the biggest clubs in the world, which means that he is more than capable of playing at the highest level.
