'What the **** is happening?!' - Italy legend raises Chiesa Liverpool ALARM
Liverpool only brought in ONE player during last summer’s transfer window with Federico Chiesa arriving from Juventus for a fee that could reach £12 million.
It was deemed a transfer coup for sporting director Richard Hughes at the time, paying a bargain price for a 26-year-old European champion who had been valued as high as £60m previously.

However, Chiesa’s start to life at Anfield has been nothing short of catastrophic. The now-27-year-old has only managed a total of 78 minutes across three appearances for Arne Slot’s side and hasn’t been seen in approximately two months.
Chiesa out in the cold
His unavailability has been a source of consternation for Slot, who claimed a few weeks ago that Chiesa was struggling to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League.
His struggles have been so profound that a return to Serie A has been mooted for the January transfer window with AC Milan and Roma among the teams linked with his signature.
Chiesa has also lost his place in the Italy national team with head coach Luciano Spalletti opting against calling up the winger for his last three squads. He will play NO part for the Azzurri for their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Belgium and France.
'He can't even play 10 minutes'
Chiesa’s struggles have now been discussed by former Italy international and Serie A winner Antonio Cassano. The 42-year-old is DISMAYED at the situation Chiesa currently finds himself in, unable to break into the team at Liverpool and cut adrift from the national team.
"You need to tell me what the f**k is happening with Chiesa,” he said on Viva el Futbol. “A player who in 2021 was one of the best if not the best along with Donnarumma in the Italy team that won, and I thought, now he goes there, different league, he'll be fine and can play wing-back, can play wherever he wants and likes, but he can't even play 10 minutes in the league.
“He's physically unwell, hasn't settled in, isn't up to standard - we need to know something about this for our National team because in my opinion he's the most talented player we have.”
