Federico Chiesa’s agent issues MAJOR Liverpool transfer update
Federico Chiesa is turning into one of the stranger transfers Liverpool have conducted in recent years.
The Italian was back to being an unused substitute against Manchester United today after missing out from the squad last time out against West Ham.

He has only seen 45 minutes of action since September after being out through a myriad of injury and match fitness issues.
Those minutes came in the League Cup quarter final against Southampton a few weeks ago.
As a result, rumours having been circling that teams in Italy are looking to bring the winger back home, with Italy national team manager Luciano Spaletti reportedly telling Chiesa that it will be better for his national team chances.
Both Milanese clubs have been rumoured to be interested, as well as current Serie A table toppers Napoli who could be looking to bolster their ranks as they chase a fourth-ever Scudetto.
But a new report has poured a serious dampener on those flames.
Chiesa's Napoli rumours have been greatly exaggerated
According to 365scores, Chiesa’s agent has denied these rumours.
“Napoli did not negotiate a contract with Chiesa from Liverpool in the winter period, and the club has no intention of dispensing with the player.” said Vali Ramadan in exclusive comments.
“The player is continuing with Liverpool and is seeking the opportunity to participate in the coming period. This is what I can confirm now.”
Of course, if he were looking for a move away, coming straight out and saying a deal had been agreed with Napoli would be counter-intuitive to securing the best deal possible for his client.
Napoli sit three points clear at the Serie A summit at time of writing, with an attack led by Romelu Lukaku and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
But it would also alienate him from his current side who just so happen to be the best player in the world.
If he can get fit, Chiesa is guaranteed to be a contributor down the stretch for Liverpool who have a legitimate shot at all four competitions they are currently competing in.
Their schedule has been in ‘a game every three days’ territory for a while now but the importance of these will amp up the longer the season goes on.
If he is able to get anywhere near the form that saw him net 20+ goal involvements in multiple seasons before his knee injuries then the £12.5m deal cut for him will look like a bargain.
