Liverpool Power Rankings: Kelleher ROCKETS after STUNNING Leipzig performance

We are ranking all members of the Liverpool first-team squad throughout the 2024-25 season with updates at the end of each matchday. 

The latest instalment is our RB Leipzig edition after the Reds came away from Germany with a 1-0 Champions League win on Wednesday night.

Star of the show - once again - was goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher with a sensational performance as Arne Slot's men kept a clean sheet to grab the three points.

Here are our latest Liverpool Power Rankings after the win in Leipzig, with the previous rank for each player in brackets.

24. Harvey Elliott

Should have been a key player in the midfield this term following a fantastic pre-season but only played single-digit minutes in the Premier League before injury ruined his season.

23. Tyler Morton (23)

A player whose career has stagnated this season following decent progress at Hull City last term. Might be wishing the club either sold him or loaned him out given his awesome potential and lack of minutes.

22. Vitezslav Jaros (22)

Jaros is Liverpool's third-choice goalkeeper this season and was called upon in Liverpool's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, where he maintained Liverpool's clean sheet, but hasn't been seen since.

21. Jarell Quansah (21)

Was given the starting shirt at the outset of the Premier League season having dislodged Ibrahima Konaté towards the end of the previous campaign.

A poor 45 minutes versus Ipswich saw him hauled off at half time and he's been waiting to get back in since.

20. Federico Chiesa (20)

Was clearly unfit when he signed and Arne Slot still doesn't believe he can last 90 minutes. Signed as a relief pitcher for Mohamed Salah but hasn't even been able to do that.

19. Wataru Endo (19)

His stock has fallen dramatically from last season when he established himself as a favourite of fans and club management alike. Almost sold in the summer, his days are numbered.

18. Joe Gomez (16)

Came close to leaving the club last summer with his status as longest-serving player under immediate threat. Will only start on the rare occasion the first-choice defenders, and Jarell Quansah, cannot.

17. Conor Bradley (14)

Always reliable as a deputy for Trent Alexander-Arnold, even if the vice-captain doesn't always appreciate being replaced. Has been suffering a slight injury since the international break, curbing his progress.

16. Darwin Núñez (13)

Got a start against Leipzig owing to an injury to Diogo Jota and pilfered a goal from on the line. Still has work to do to get into Slot's favour full-time however.

15. Curtis Jones (17)

A fine midfielder who has been in great form lately, scoring against Chelsea, but dropped out again for Alexis Mac Allister in Leipzig.

14. Kostas Tsimikas (18)

Has been in and out of the team due to Slot rotating Andy Robertson and had perhaps his best game of the season against Leipzig.

13. Dominik Szoboszlai (11)

A player who should be hitting double digits in goals and assists from his attacking midfield berth, the Hungary captain has been effective but has yet to add those De Bruyne-like numbers to his game. Slot has asked for more from the €60m man. A few nice touches against Leipzig.

12. Andy Robertson (10)

Has been rotated out of the lineup on occasion this season to permit Kostas Tsimikas to take over. Not always been at his marauding best either.

11. Diogo Jota (9)

Has struggled to make an impact at times. Can't seem to stay fit and is currently on the sidelines following a knock against Chelsea.

10. Caoimhín Kelleher (15)

Getting better with every outing. Was brilliant at the weekend against Chelsea and had a man-of-the-match performance against Leipzig in the Champions League.

9. Cody Gakpo (12)

Playing increasingly well when he gets his opportunities on the pitch. Was arguably the best attacker against Leipzig and is now challenging Luis Diaz for a starting place.

8. Alexis Mac Allister (8)

Went off on international duty despite being injured and missed out on the starting line-up versus Chelsea due to illness. Came back in for Leipzig and did well.

7. Alisson Becker (7)

Quite simply put, he has been missing too many games and that spells danger for goalkeepers. He could be out for another TWO MONTHS following his injury against Crystal Palace.

6. Mohamed Salah (6)

A sign of how normal Mo's goalscoring brilliance now seems that he lies only sixth on this list? He has started the season in imperious form in front of goal and added another assist against Leipzig.

5. Ibrahima Konaté (5)

Inconsistent and injured would be the way to sum up Ibou's Liverpool career up until last summer, culminating in him losing his place in the France XI. But he has been exceptional for the Reds. Has also added goals to his game.

4. Luis Díaz (2)

The work Arne Slot has put in with Colombia winger Díaz has paid off. At one stage he would be sold off last summer as a failed Jurgen Klopp signing but he has bounced back with a vengeance.

3. Trent Alexander-Arnold (4)

Where would Liverpool be without this man's contributions? Let's hope we don't find out next season. Appears to have taken his attacking game to new heights this term and has taken strides to improve his defending.

2. Virgil van Dijk (3)

Showing no signs of slowing down as the Reds' key defensive leader and still carries a characteristic threat from set-pieces. A new contract remains away in the distance however.

1. Ryan Gravenberch (1)

A revelation. When Liverpool missed out on Martin Zubimendi over the summer, many fans feared the worst. Gravenberch has looked like a new man under compatriot Arne Slot, carrying off multiple player of the match awards.
