Liverpool player ratings vs Wolves: Two STANDOUTS as Reds win 2-1

© IMAGO

Here are our Liverpool player ratings for their Premier League clash with Wolves at Molineux.

Alisson Becker 8/10

Under pressure far more than you'd like but was perfect as always.

Trent Alexander-Arnold 8/10

Defensively solid and forced the penalty with a brilliant cross for Diogo Jota. A good game, even if wasn't quite as effective as he can be.

Ibrahima Konaté 7/10

Fantastic header for the goal - as dominant in the air as always. But also conceded an equaliser with some awful defending.

Virgil van Dijk 8/10

Van Dijk was rarely troubled - he was just asked to do too much by the players in front of him. A good game, though.

Andy Robertson 8/10

Got forward well enough. Consistently kept the pressure on Wolves with his forward running and should have had an assist for Szoboszlai.

Ryan Gravenberch 9/10

He's consistent now - that's the biggest factor. Gravenberch won his duels, passed the ball well, and kept things ticking over the the other midfielders struggled to do so.

Alexis Mac Allister 6/10

Not his sharpest game by any stretch of the imagination. A few good moments and a few really poor touches.

Dominik Szoboszlai 5/10

Got to mark him down for that miss. Szoboszlai was quiet until the 40th minute when he should have scored from point-blank range. Not his day and he didn't look happy going off.

Mohamed Salah 6/10

Dispatched his penalty expertly and did look lively at times. Also blew a couple of really good counter-attacking opportunities with poor passes.

Luis Diaz 6/10

Quiet by his standards. Saw quite a lot of the ball but just couldn't make things happen today.

Diogo Jota 9/10

Wasn't brought into the game for any chances. Then went and created one of his own - a magnificent cross for the opener. Then won the penalty for Liverpool's second to get them back in front. The match-winner, then, even though he didn't get any scoring chances.

Subs

Curtis Jones 6/10

Made an impact once he was on.

Cody Gakpo 6/10

Didn't necessarily make things happen - but he looks incredibly sharp on the ball right now.

Joe Gomez N/A
