Weather chaos DERAILS Liverpool plans

Liverpool are up against the weather once again as more chaos reigns. Here's the latest.

Liverpool battle the weather every week now. We've seen a storm risk the Southampton trip, then high winds actually postpone the Merseyside derby.

The draw with Manchester United was under threat, too, after heavy snow and ice in Liverpool. Two safety meetings were needed for that one before it went ahead.

And with the Reds coming up against Accrington Stanley this weekend, they're facing more of it. The storms are still coming, while Liverpool City Centre has consistently had snowfall over the last few days.

It's something that's certainly affecting Liverpool FC, too. They've seen more pans derail on the back of bad weather.

Liverpool plans lose out to weather - again

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, the Reds flew back from London on Wednesday evening but were re-routed to Birmingham because of freezing fog.

From there, they had the 80-mile road trip back to Liverpool. The change-up resulted in Thursday training being cancelled for the senior side.

And it hasn't stopped there. Liverpool's Under 18s were supposed to face Nottingham Forest but that's now been postponed.

A freezing pitch is the culprit - something that, admittedly, Anfield doesn't need to worry about.

Accrington Stanley ran into the same issue, though. They've had to train indoors at Kirkby, with managing director David Presley Burgess thanking Liverpool for accommodating them on Twitter.

Now there are few suggestions that the weather will be so bad overnight that the FA Cup clash could also face postponement. Still, who really knows?

The weather has been mad lately and Liverpool can't escape problems. We'll just cross our fingers that all will be well.
