A truly remarkable comeback happened on Saturday and Rio Ngumoha was at the centre of it for Liverpool.

Liverpool signed Rio Ngumoha in the summer, bringing him in from Chelsea to much hype. Ngumoha was viewed as one of the hottest young prospects in English football, after all.

The Reds pushed hard to sign him and now they have him. He even got a senior debut in the FA Cup last month, putting on a bit of a show under Arne Slot.
The future now looks incredibly bright, not just for Ngumoha but Liverpool as a whole. There's a series of incredible young talents and while the ex-Blue might be the most exciting of the lot, he's far from the only one expected to make the first team.
Take Trey Nyoni, for instance. Nyoni is still only 17 and joined from Leicester City a little under 18 months ago. And yet he's already made five senior appearances for the Reds.
Those two are pretty unquestionably the most exciting arrivals into the youth system over the last two years. And Liverpool let them put on a show on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea 2-3 Liverpool
Liverpool Under 18s took on Chelsea Under 18s on Saturday in London. The Reds named a strangely strong team, too, with Ngumoha and Nyoni both starting.
The pair have typically been with the older group in recent months. Here, though, they were put with the U18 team and allowed to show they were above this level.
It was a particularly notable one for Ngumoha, of course, who faced off against his old club. But things didn't start well.
Chelsea went 1-0 up quite early. With 10 minutes to play, it was 2-0.
But then things clicked for Liverpool. It was Nyoni who pulled one back, getting into the box to finish from close range after a deflection.
Then Nugmoha took over. The winger scored the equaliser, receiving the ball behind Chelsea's midfield and running at the defence.
They couldn't stop him, either, and Ngumoha weaved in and out before firing home for 2-2. It was him again who terrorised the backline for the winner in stoppage time.
Ngumoha received the ball relatively deep and ran with it before slicing open the defence with a ball in behind. That pass was sent back across goal for Alvin Ayman to score Liverpool's third from about a yard out.
Liverpool won, then, and it was a Ngumoha showcase. The Reds undoubtedly signed a special one here - and Chelsea were reminded of what they've lost.
