One Liverpool star will now undergo surgery and is expected to be out for three months. A transfer is planned for the summer.
Liverpool's injury crisis hasn't been anywhere near as bad as last season but it's still been there. Alisson Becker has missed plenty of time this season, while Ibrahima Konate and Trent Alexander-Arnold have battled problems.

This, then, appears to be the end for Morton at Liverpool. Bayer Leverkusen attempted to sign him last summer but the Reds' failure to land Martin Zubimendi put an end to talks.
Middlesbrough then tried to end the most recent transfer window with his arrival but again, a fee couldn't be agreed. This summer, though, there's little standing in the way of a move.
The surgery has made sure of that.
