Brilliant Liverpool wonderkid proves Arne Slot RIGHT

Liverpool have put a lot of effort into finding the world's best talent over the last few years. They've built up their youth academy to one of the most impressive around - and the first-team is reaping the rewards.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the shining light, of course. Curtis Jones has stamped his authority on a first-team place, too, while Caoimhin Kelleher has had plenty of games as a starting goalkeeper.
Last season saw Jarell Quansah break through into the first-team setup, while a host of youngsters got their first taste of senior football.

Conor Bradley is really beginning to make a name for himself this season, too. That comes just in time, given Alexander-Arnold may be leaving the club.
There are high hopes that Jayden Danns once he's back from loan, with Lewis Koumas and Ben Doak both putting in exciting campaigns in the Championship.
And Liverpool aren't done there. Trent Kone-Doherty made his senior debut against Plymouth Argyle at the weekend.
Arne Slot put his faith in the youngster, plainly believing he can make the step up. Just a couple of days later, Kone-Doherty showed why.
Trent Kone-Doherty puts on a show
Kone-Doherty was a part of Liverpool's under-19 team to face Stuttgart in the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday. The Reds were knocked out on penalties, unfortunately, but the club still had something to shout about.
That was the performance of Kone-Doherty. He came to life after Stuttgart went 2-0 up in the first half, changing the entire game.
The winger controlled a high ball on the right flank, beating one defender before sending it inside to Keiran Morrison. Kone-Doherty continued his run and received a pass in behind from Morrison, allowing him to drive into the area.

There Kone-Doherty once again found Morrison with a cut-back, allowing him to slot home for 2-1.
And he wasn't done there. Still in the first-half, Liverpool worked the ball to Kone-Doherty, from left to right, providing him the ball on the corner of the box.
The youngster stood his man up, steadied himself, and then arrowed a low shot into the far corner. It was a magnificent finish and one that levelled things up at 2-2.
This performance was why Slot backed Kone-Doherty at senior level and we imagine that's far from the last we've seen of him. The forward changed the game here, showcasing a lethal touch that will take him far.
Yes, it's a shame Liverpool are out of the competition but Kone-Doherty gives fans a reason to cheer. The Reds have a special one.
