It certainly appears that Trent Alexander-Arnold is off to Real Madrid but has a bizarre source just confirmed it?

Everyone now expects Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave Liverpool with the end of his contract in June. The Scouser’s deal is up and he’s free to leave for whoever he wishes.

In fact, he’s been able to agree that deal for a couple of months now. Alexander-Arnold could negotiate with non-English clubs from January 1st and Real Madrid attempted to force Liverpool’s hand on that back at the start of the year.

Los Blancos offered a small fee to sign Alexander-Arnold in January, knowing full well Liverpool would feel pressure to receive some sort of fee for their star homegrown talent. The Reds rejected that - and rightly so - which leaves everyone in this current situation.

As things stand, Alexander-Arnold is able to discuss terms with any non-English club. That ‘chosen’ club has been Real Madrid for a long time now and Fabrizio Romano reports that a formal offer is now in the Scouser’s hands.

It now comes down to whether he signs it or not but this is one that may actually be over already. One bizarre source appears to have confirmed that the wheels are in motion for Alexander-Arnold’s physical move to Madrid.

A car dealer on TikTok has uploaded a video where he claims to be talking to a Premier League footballer’s agent. That agent is trying to get his player’s cars sold before he leaves England for Madrid.

The two cars? A Range Rover and a Mercedes C63. Those are two cars Alexander-Arnold happens to own (as seen in various news articles over the last few years).

That would all point to Alexander-Arnold being the footballer in question and that a move to Real Madrid is firmly on the cards. But even though this video has done the rounds all day, we would take it with a gigantic pinch of salt.

In fact, we’d outright treat the video as staged. The account has previous for claiming agents are calling him about selling cars ahead of transfers - transfers that then never actually happened.

This does feel quite a lot like someone trying to use all the hype to generate attention. But maybe it isn’t! Maybe it’s all legit.
