Liverpool star 'hoping' injury won't bring EARLY end to Anfield career
One Liverpool star is hopeful his injury won't end his Anfield career prematurely. The Reds will be crossing fingers.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. It's a situation that felt unfathomable a year ago.

Here's the Reds' pride and joy. The homegrown, local lad who came through the academy to win the lot and become one of the world's best players.
He's on the verge of leaving on a free transfer, with Real Madrid believing wholeheartedly that they've got Alexander-Arnold convinced. Liverpool will be left with nothing for the greatest talent to come out of their academy system.
It's a significant blow and recent reports of the impending agreement with Madrid has largely turned fans against Alexander-Arnold. Well, that and a stream of pundits telling Liverpool supporters that they should be happy for him.
But we're yet to see the reaction of the Anfield crowd. That's because Alexander-Arnold has been battling an injury that he picked up against Paris Saint-Germain.
So here's an update on that.

Alexander-Arnold's injury
The Daily Mail reports that Alexander-Arnold is 'hoping' that he'll play again this season. There's no definitive match pencilled in for a return but the Scouser does think he'll be back at some point.
It would be quite shocking, after all, if Alexander-Arnold was done for good. An end to his season almost certainly means an end to his career with Liverpool, but the report claims he should be able to feature in April sometime.
Again, there's no match or date in mind. This is just a 'hope' that Alexander-Arnold can return and that his recovery remains on track as it has been so far.
When (if?) he does play again, the reaction from Liverpool supporters will be incredibly interesting. Alexander-Arnold is quite openly playing out the final games of his career with the Reds - a club he has always said was the only one he wanted to play for.
