Liverpool FC News: Reds midfielder jets-out to New York as he faces UNCERTAIN future
Liverpool have an interesting month ahead of them with plenty of big decisions to make for Richard Hughes.
The sporting director's main priority will undoubtedly be to resolve the contract situation over the future of club talismans like Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

But there will be other matters to attend to as well. Liverpool will explore the market for additions and it would be premature to rule out any new signings at this stage.
There's also important matters to attend to when it comes to some of the club's loan stars, including over the future of the Reds' promising midfielder, Stefan Bajcetic.
Stefan Bajcetic facing an uncertain future
After finally making a recovery from his long-term injury towards the end of last season, Bajcetic was meant to kick-start his career again this season.
He showed some promising touches in pre-season under Arne Slot but ultimately it was decided the best place for his development would be at Red Bull Salzburg with Pep Lijnders who had already worked with him at Liverpool for years as Jurgen Klopp's assistant.
However, Bajcetic's time at Salzburg has been disappointing so far. He's not a regular starter for the club and his future is now uncertain with a new manager coming in after Lijnders was fired.
It leaves Hughes with a decision to make whether to recall Bajcetic or whether to keep him at Salzburg and risk jeopardising his development for another six months.
Stefan Bajcetic makes New York city trip
Amid uncertainty over his future, Bajcetic has been enjoying the holidays by making a trip to New York on Christmas day.
The Liverpool midfielder shared a story on his Instagram account of a snapshot from the stands of the New York Knicks Christmas day game against the San Antonio Spurs in Maddison Square Gardens.
Bajcetic will have enjoyed himself in the end-to-end action with the Knicks winning just by three points over the Spurs in what was a thrilling game that went right down to the wire.
In the end, the Knick's Josh Hart played a key role in the last few seconds of the game making two vital offensive rebounds to prevent an offensive counter from the Spurs and secure the victory for the Knicks.
Incidentally, Hart was someone who was keeping an eye on Liverpool a few days ago, calling out Tottenham for being 'rubbish' on his X account after the Reds demolished them 6-3.
Now it was Hart, who was entertaining a Liverpool midfielder as he defeated the NBA's Spurs.
For Bajcetic, we hope the trip offered much needed rejuvenation as he looks to get his career back on track in the new year with a big 2025 awaiting him.
