Liverpool fans should expect a SECOND major announcement today
Liverpool have announced that Mo Salah has signed a new contract. But a second major announcement is on the way.
Liverpool finally put an end to speculation on Friday as they announced that Mo Salah will remain at the club for two more years. The Egyptian has finally signed that new contract.

It's a story that has rumbled on all year, of course. Salah's deal was set to expire at the end of the campaign and he's been free to negotiate with non-English clubs since January 1st.
The line has always been that Liverpool were confident of getting a new deal done. Salah, too, has never wavered from his own line that he wanted to stay.
Both were genuine, it turns out. The no.11 remains a Liverpool player for at least two more years, taking him to a decade at Anfield.
Fans are celebrating, naturally. Everyone wanted Salah to stay after another ridiculous season that sees him lead Europe's top five leagues (27) for league goals and league assists (17).
But there's more to come today...

Liverpool to make second announcement
Salah was at Anfield on Thursday night to film his announcement video and take some photos on a throne. Only, he wasn't the only one there.
Virgil van Dijk was also present for the same reasons. The Dutchman is staying at Liverpool - something Anfield Watch believes has been clear since November.
It's also been widely reported in the last few days that there was a significant breakthrough in talks with Van Dijk. He's staying and we're just waiting on the announcement.
Well, that announcement should come later today. It's Friday, April 11th after all - or 11/4, the respective squad numbers of Liverpool's star pair.
Yes, we believe the Reds have waited for this day to formally announce that they're keeping both of them. After all, it's not like they just happened to have breakthroughs for both players at exactly the same time.

Instead, this has been a pretty comfortable negotiation process over the last little while. Friday should be an exciting one as a result - so get ready for a second major announcement.
