Richard Hughes' SHOCK Mo Salah contract stance revealed
Richard Hughes has had months to agree a new deal with Mohamed Salah and the rest of the Reds' trio on expiring deals.
However, the Liverpool sporting director is still yet to reach an agreement, just days before all three of them can freely discuss moves away from the club.

Given that they are all on expiring contract at the end of the season as soon as January begins, Salah and co. will be able to start negotiating with clubs from abroad.
That's a huge concern given how important all three of those players have been, most notably Salah, who has been on another level this season.
Yet Hughes seems to have a surprise stance in terms of his priority when it comes to contract talks.
Liverpool's surprise Mo Salah contract stance revealed
According to a report from The Times, Liverpool's priority first and foremost is not to renew Salah's contract.
Instead, the first priority is to tie down Virgil van Dijk to a new deal before coming to an agreement with the Egyptian.
On paper, given Van Dijk is the captain this would make sense in any other circumstance.
But in this situation, with Salah being by far and away the best player in the world right now this is a shocking stance to have.
Liverpool should absolutely be prioritising a deal for Mo Salah and trying to get him to agree a new deal before anything else.
This is a player in the prime of his career and he is someone who could strengthen any other rival in European football.
The club should be doing everything in their attempts to convince him to stay at Anfield for many years to come.
Even at 32 years old, Salah is showing no signs of regression. He's ageing like fine wine and the longer he stays at the club, the more success there will be coming Liverpool's way.
Which is why Liverpool must absolutely change their stance on this and prioritise a deal for Salah.
