Crucial 24 hours for Chiesa
Liverpool have entered a CRUCIAL 24-hour period in their reported chase for the Juventus forward Federico Chiesa.
Italian transfer supremo Fabrizio Romano revealed on Monday night that Liverpool had made an approach for the Euro 2020 winner, who has been frozen out by Juventus under new head coach Thiago Motta.
Time is running out on a potential deal for the 26-year-old with the transfer window closing on Friday.
Chiesa is out of contract in Turin next year and is available for a knockdown price, with Italian reports suggesting that a deal could be done for as little as €12 million to €15m.

The Georgian international underwent medical tests in Spain yesterday ahead of his €35 million move from Valencia to Merseyside.
Mamardashvili will remain at Valencia on loan, joining up with Arne Slot's Reds in 2025.

Liverpool’s head coach Arne Slot has revealed his plans for fullbacks Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson in an interview with Jamie Carragher.
In the interview for Sky Sports, Slot offered some insight on how he will set his team up this season and discussed the fullbacks specifically.
Both Alexander-Arnold and Robertson have started the first two games of the Premier League season and they seem to be the two players Slot wants to utilise the most on either side of the Liverpool defence.
