Liverpool FC news recap: Salah HEARTBREAK, BIG FSG investment
Here's all your latest Liverpool news.
Emotional Mo Salah
Anfield Watch understands that Salah is still very keen for his young family to stay in Liverpool and for his daughters to continue their education rather than having to move abroad.
This is why a move to Saudi Arabia is completely off the cards for Salah. He is very much focused on staying in Liverpool. However, if the Reds do not offer him a new deal he could be forced into a decision that would not only be heartbreaking for fans of the club around the world but for his family as well - having to uproot their comfortable and happy lives in the North of England.
Big FSG investment
A report from The Times has claimed that Liverpool are making an investment into new avenues of recruitment and increasing the club's emphasis on bringing in the best young talents around the world.
According to the report, Liverpool will be investing into recruiting a new head of global scouting, a scout for the Netherlands and Belgium and two further regional scouting roles will also be assigned in a host of changes.
This is an interesting move by FSG that seems to suggest the club will be looking to adopt a model similar to clubs like Brighton and Brentford, rather than copying the approach of Manchester City or Manchester United who spend big money on already made superstars.
Ngumoha exclusive
Anfield Watch understands, Ngumoha regularly terrorises first team players in training and the club has had to delete and edit out footage of his performances from the Inside Training video series in a bid to contain the hype surrounding the 16-year-old.
It's only a matter of time until the youngster will be given an opportunity at first team level. However, for now the Reds are carefully managing expectations.
Ngumoha is still yet to make his debut for the club's U21 team and that will be the next step in his development before he gets his chance to play at senior level.
Slot on the move
According to Bekende Buren, Slot’s apartment in Egmond aan Zee, in the north-west of the country, is on the market for €421,500.
The Liverpool boss is set to make a small profit on the property, having bought it for €385,000, and could look to invest in a property on Merseyside having turned down the chance to live in Klopp’s old home. That house, owned by the club, is also up for sale.
Slot had rented out the apartment earlier this year, but now appears to be happy to sell - perhaps a sign that he is committed to a long-term future at Liverpool.
