Here's our Liverpool FC news recap for Sunday, March 24th. The German FA have offered a major update on the future of Liverpool-linked Julian Nagelsmann.

Off the back of Saturday's fantastic LFC Legends showpiece at Anfield, we've enjoyed a lot of wholesome quotes from an array of Reds fan favourites throughout the day.

But that's not all - add a major development in the hunt for Jurgen Klopp's successor and a potential boost in the race for a highly-rated young centre-back, and we've had quite an eventful Sunday.

Let's get into it. Here's our Liverpool FC news recap.

New contract for Nagelsmann?

The president of the German FA has offered a major update on the future of Julian Nagelsmann, who continues to be linked as the potential successor to Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Bernd Neuendorf revealed that discussions have taken place with Nagelsmann about the possibility of extending his contract.

Nagelsmann was appointed as Germany manager on a short-term contract last year, with the remit of leading his country through the 2024 Euros on home soil.

The former Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig manager has already been linked to a host of clubs for next season, with Liverpool touted as one such possibility.

The Reds have reportedly been tracking the 21-year-old for some time, with some speculating a move could be made in the summer.

A report in the Telegraph earlier this week claimed that Forest would demand a fee of over £50m for the highly-rated Brazilian.

However, with the club facing financial trouble, they could be forced to sell some of their best players to stay afloat - doing so at a cut-price.

The Reds learnt this weekend that their visit to West Ham United has been moved to the 12:30pm slot on Saturday, April 27.

It's one of a trio of fixtures to be rescheduled - their trip to Fulham will now take place at 4:30pm on Sunday, April 21, while the Merseyside derby is penned in for 8pm on Wednesday, April 24.

Supporters have been quick to express their frustration throughout the campaign at Liverpool's regularity of being awarded the unenviable early kick-off - and this latest development will be sure to fuel the agenda.

The 25-year-old has been a formidable force between the sticks for the Reds, disproving any doubters to fill the void left by Alisson when the Brazilian was struck with a hamstring injury.

And keeping with his fine form to impress again, Kelleher helped the Republic of Ireland to an impressive draw against Belgium on Saturday evening.

Exuding confidence, he wowed fans early on at the Aviva Stadium, Cruyff turning Lois Openda to send fans into raptures.
