Sunday started as being touted as a big day for transfers in England, with Liverpool hinted to be heavily involved as certain clubs desperately attempted to meet Premier League spending rules.

Anthony Gordon move 'unlikely'
Despite talks taking place between the two clubs, Liverpool refused to allow talented youngster Jarell Quansah to be included in any deal to take Newcastle's Anthony Gordon to Liverpool.
As a result, Fabrizio Romano revealed in his Daily Briefing via GIVEMESPORT that, as things stand, Liverpool are not expected to meet Newcastle’s demands to sign Gordon which means a move is unlikely to happen ahead of the PSR deadline.
The journalist goes on to explain that the Merseyside giants will need to present a 'crazy' proposal in order to land the England international, as a deal for the forward never reached an advanced stage due to the huge gap in valuations between both clubs.

QUANSAH HAS A "BIG FUTURE"
With Liverpool refusing to sanction a move to St James' Park for Jarell Quansah, one pundit and lifelong Reds fan believes the club have made the right call.
"I saw that line yesterday with Quansah maybe a possibility of him moving on," Tony Cascarino said on talkSPORT.
"I think he has still got a chance at Liverpool to be a proper centre-half. He has got a big future, and I think Liverpool understand that as well."
