FSG will want to push Real Madrid, Manchester City, PSG, Barcelona, Manchester United and Bayern Munich ahead of them.

A significant way they can do this, and expand their overseas reach at the same time, is through their pre-season tours.

Last summer the Reds headed to America, FSG’s home market and the most lucrative, ever-growing market for European teams to push into.

This coming season they have a different approach. The Athletic are reporting that Liverpool are planning to travel to Japan and Hong Kong for next summer’s pre-season tour.

Lijnders was appointed as the manager of Red Bull Salzburg in the summer after he left the club.

Initially, he made a decent start to life in Austria, helping his team qualify for the Champions League.

However, things quickly turned sour after Salzburg were heavily defeated not just in Europe but in the Austrian Bundesliga, losing to their rivals Sturm Graz by 4-0.

Their poor form in the league has led to Salzburg finding themselves in fifth spot ten points away from the league leaders.

Wonderkid in line for debut

None of Nyoni, captain Amara Nallo, James Norris or Jayden Danns played for the under-21s this afternoon in the Premier League 2 game against Crystal Palace.

This opens them up to involvement on Wednesday night.

Perhaps the most enticing involvement would be Nallo. As mentioned in this profile, the centre-back captains the U21s and is an aerially-dominant defender who is incredibly composed on the ball.

Marca in Spain claim that Salah has made his decision - he wants to stay. They're claiming he's been seduced by Liverpool's offer and that a deal isn't far off.

Now, please take this with a pinch of salt. It's very hard to believe that Marca have the lead on this story though there is a slim chance they might.

Also, Salah wanting to stay and actually signing the contract Liverpool have in front of him are two different things. There may still be a lot of ironing out to do here.
