The impressive amount Liverpool earned in 2023/24 prize money REVEALED
Liverpool's 2023/24 campaign may not have gone entirely to plan, but the Reds are still set to take home a huge amount in prize money come the end of the season.
There were dreams of a historic quadruple during Jurgen Klopp's final season in charge at Anfield, but Liverpool have only managed to win the Carabao Cup this term.
They are now officially out of the Premier League title race after the weekend's results, although their fate had already been sealed by a poor run of form in April, and they faced FA Cup and Europa League heartbreak at the hands of Manchester United and Atalanta respectively.
While it may not be the trophy-laden campaign many fans were fantasising about, Liverpool have received a fair financial boost from their performances this season ahead of the imminent arrival of Arne Slot.
LIVERPOOL'S 2023/24 PRIZE MONEY REVEALED
According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds may finish the season with a total of just over £190m accumulated in prize money from the four competitions they entered.
The FA Cup and Carabao Cup are not significant earners for elite level sides, with Liverpool's win at Wembley against Chelsea only pocketing them £100,000, but the Reds secured £27m for their journey to the quarter-final of the Europa League.
Liverpool are now guaranteed to finish third in the table regardless of results in the final week of the campaign and while the exact amount they will earn for this remains to be seen, the Reds earned £161.2m for finishing fifth last term.
Last season's third-placed side - Man Utd - made £165m from finishing below Arsenal and Manchester City in the Premier League table.
That sum of £190m may come in handy for new boss Slot this summer as he looks to shape an extremely talented Liverpool squad in his image, while money will also be freed up from the wage bill following the exits of Thiago and Joel Matip.
