Liverpool fans travelling to Prague for Thursday evening's Europa League last 16 tie can find a flavour of home in at least one bar — as one supporter's picture of a drinks menu showed.

With the Reds still chasing an unprecedented quadruple this season, Jurgen Klopp's side take on Sparta Prague at the epet Arena (17:45 GMT) and will be looking to bring home an advantage ahead of the return leg at Anfield next week.

Despite coming just three days before a crucial showdown with Manchester City in the Premier League title race, plenty of Liverpool fans couldn't turn down the opportunity for an away day in one of Europe's finest cities.

Among the travelling contingent was one Will Proctor, whose photo of a shots menu at McCarthy's in the Czech capital went viral on X for its Liverpool theme.

The cheekily named drinks for the occasion included: "You'll Never Walk Again" (absinthe, Kahlua and Baileys) and "Jurgen-Meister Bomb" (Jagermeister in Red Bull) among several others, as well as a "Kop-Out" (a shot of tap water priced at around £168.50).

Let's hope the players are all on the "Kop-Outs" pre-match, while fans are rushing to McCarthy's to celebrate rather than drown their sorrows after the final whistle.

Klopp too 'dumb' to prioritise

Liverpool could welcome back Mohamed Salah for the match (something we can all drink to!), while Dominik Szoboszlai could be in line for his first start since January.

Speaking ahead of the clash in Prague, Liverpool boss Klopp insisted he was focussed only on the Europa League tie, despite the upcoming showdown with title rivals City at the weekend.

The manager said: “As far as I know it is the only game we play tomorrow night so that’s the most important game we have. We don’t make any difference.

“We would not have won the League Cup, we would not be in the next round of the FA Cup, we would not still be in the Europa League if we would prioritise a competition.

“We never did – maybe it would be smart if we do it, but I am a bit dumb so I don’t know how to do that, and we go in each game with all we have and hopefully you will see that tomorrow night. That’s the target.”
