Liverpool officially announce Trent Alexander-Arnold update
Liverpool have put out an official update on Trent Alexander-Arnold. All eyes are on the Reds' vice-captain.
So that's both Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk who have committed their future to Liverpool. The last week has been a memorable one.

Of course, there's one name missing. Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Scouser in the team, hasn't signed for anyone and there's actually next to no suggestion that he'll agree terms with Liverpool.
Tellingly, Alexander-Arnold is the only one of the three who has refused to discuss his future all season. There's been absolute radio silence on that front - a sign that it's not news people want to hear.
Reports broke en masse last month claiming a move to Real Madrid was very close. Alexander-Arnold reportedly has their offer in hand, in fact, but Liverpool must be notified if he signs it.
It's all created a strange atmosphere. Liverpool fans, understandably, are not happy with Alexander-Arnold as it appears he's set to abandon the club he's always wanted to play for to go and be the latest Galactico.
How the fans really feel, though, is unknown as Alexander-Arnold hasn't stepped onto a pitch in quite some time. An injury has kept him out for well over a month - there were even concerns that he might not play again this season.

Alexander-Arnold set for return
Liverpool announced on Friday that Alexander-Arnold could return to the squad this weekend against Leicester City. He's set to train on Friday and Saturday - we'll see beyond that.
At the very least, it appears he'll feature again this season unless there's a setback. Maybe that comes as soon as Sunday.
Arne Slot addressed the situation in his press conference on Friday.
“[He is] not [ready] to start but if things go well today and tomorrow, he might – might – be on the bench," said Slot. "But definitely not to start because he is out for five-and-a-half weeks and this is today probably his first session with the team.
“It was Wednesday I think he did parts of the team session. So he’s not able to start but hopefully he can be able to join us because for Conor [Bradley], he has been out for a long time so for him to play 90 isn’t easy as well.
“So it would be nice if Trent is with us during the weekend, yes.”

It sounds like we will get more of Alexander-Arnold, then. Exactly how much more, though, remains very much up in the air.
