Liverpool make three MORE off-the-pitch moves as big summer of change continues

Liverpool have made three more changes to their structure as their big summer of change continues at a rapid pace.

Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan has promoted three staff members as the club continues to reshape its personnel structure, per FC Business. This includes new chief commercial, financial and legal officers.

Ben Latty is now the chief commercial officer. That will see Latty control the 'core revenue streams' at the club - merchandising, ticketing, partnerships etc.

Jenny Beacham has been promoted to chief financial officer. She'll now handle financial 'strategy', as well as the people in that sector of the club.

Jonathan Bamber is the new chief legal officer. This could end up being an incredibly important role for Liverpool as the overall structure of football threatens to change in the coming years.

Liverpool make promotions

Okay, so they're not exactly promotions and people you're going to hear a lot about over the coming seasons. This is all very business-specific, behind-the-scenes stuff.

But it is further evidence of Liverpool taking Jurgen Klopp's exit as a chance to overhaul the club. Just about every area is getting that overhaul - except, it should be said, the playing staff.

Michael Edwards is back involved, of course, as FSG's CEO of football. Julian Ward has returned to take on a role with the Reds' ownership, too.

Richard Hughes is the new sporting director, and David Woodfine has returned to the club to take on a role as his assistant. There are new scouts, too, while Arne Slot is the new 'head coach' - not manager, it should be stressed. Nearly all coaching staff positions need to be filled, too, after an exodus.

Things were always going to operate differently without Klopp at the helm but the changes are from top to bottom. Everything will look and operate differently.

It does feel notable that those changes won't extend to the pitch, though. There are zero suggestions that an overhaul of playing staff is on the way - the changes this summer will almost entirely be off the pitch.
