Mo Salah has given the world the biggest sign yet that a new contract with Liverpool is imminent.
Mo Salah's contract situation has absolutely dominated this season. Well, along with Trent Alexander-Arnold's and Virgil van Dijk's.

The trio are all out of contract at the end of June as things stand. Liverpool have been in negotiations with all three but none of them have agreed to new deals.
As things stand.
Reports broke everywhere on Wednesday, however, that Salah and Van Dijk are nearing new contracts. There have apparently been breakthroughs with the pair and the expectation with them is that they'll now stay.
Anfield Watch has long believed that Van Dijk would be remaining at Anfield after his agent broke off talks with other clubs back in November. The future of Salah, though, has been a lot less certain.

Mo Salah breaks off Saudi talks
The Telegraph reports that Mo Salah has broken off any talks with the Saudi Pro League. He's made them aware that he will not be moving there.
Saudi Arabia was always the most likely move for Salah if he left Liverpool. To entirely rule it out is the perfect sign that he's simply not leaving - there are seemingly no other contenders, after all.
All the reports that a contract is close are one thing but that situation can always turn around. Breaking off talks elsewhere? That's the biggest sign you can get outside of an announcement.
Now, this isn't to say that Salah will never head off to play in Saudi Arabia but we imagine he's taking a chance here. He knows full well that they'll still be willing to give him all that cash in a couple of years.

But hey, who knows? Maybe he's still playing at the elite level at 35 and pushing for another new contract.
No one should write that off.
