Rabab Salah has watched his little brother grow from being 'her little brother' into 'one of the world's biggest stars'. That's not something every sister needs to deal with.

But Rabab makes it clear that she still harbours the same feelings as any other sister, despite her brother's profile.

Asked: “How does it feel to be the sister of one of the most important stars in the world?”, Rabab Salah replied: "Look, this feeling is a bit different for me because when you are a sister, what controls you is the feelings of a sister towards her brother.

"Of course, I see him as a star, and I see his success and everything, but when you are a sister, you worry about him, and you are always concerned about whether he is upset or happy.

"I mean, this is the feeling that controls me the most: if there is something, for example, that bothers him in the club.”

No prizes for guessing what's bothering him right now.

Mo Salah's contract situation

There certainly is something bothering Salah at the club right now. His contract with Liverpool expires at the end of this season and we're yet to get news on a new one.

In fact, Salah is now a week away from being able to discuss terms officially with clubs from outside of England. He could even sign a pre-contract with one of them.

That's a worry for everyone involved - and his sister.

Liverpool, though, could easily remove that worry. After all, here's the world's best player wanting to sign a contract with the Reds.

We'd argue it's not even a debate and that something should be signed immediately. Clearly, the club sees things a little differently.

But this one could be sorted quickly and if it is, it's a weight off Salah, Liverpool and the fans. We might even see a positive reaction out of the Egyptian - and isn't that a scary thought?
