Liverpool FC News: Michael Owen FEARS for future of superstar
Michael Owen has admitted that Real Madrid could well tempt Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave Liverpool, with the former Reds striker making the same enticing move during his prime.
Liverpool's right-back has been strongly linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid during recent months, with the expectation being that Los Blancos will push for his signature in the coming winter and next summer.
Alexander-Arnold's current contract expires in 2025 and there is yet to be significant movement in a new deal for the Scouser, opening up the possibility that he leaves Anfield on a free transfer next summer.

European champions Real Madrid have often utilised free transfers to recruit their priority targets, evidenced by the signing of Kylian Mbappe this summer - even if the Frenchman did secure a mammoth signing-on fee.
Naturally, this has left Liverpool fans concerned over losing the influential defender, and former Reds forward Owen shares their fears.

2001 Ballon d'Or winner Owen also made the move from Liverpool to Real Madrid during the peak of his powers, switching Anfield for the Santiago Bernabeu in 2004.
Owen lasted just one season in the Spanish capital before returning to England with Newcastle United but he's admitted that a call from Real Madrid is difficult to ignore.
Speaking with Casino Hawks, Owen confessed: "With Trent Alexander-Arnold and the Real Madrid speculation, I was put in a position during my career in which I had to make a quick decision in a week or so on my future and it was a tricky one.
"Obviously Real Madrid at the moment are the best team in Europe, they are the biggest team in the world and have that iconic kit and their players… It's the best stage in Europe.
"I had a similar thing at that stage of my career and I decided that it was an opportunity that I couldn't pass up. I don't know if it’s an opportunity for Trent or a possibility but he'd have a lot to think about if they came in for him."
Owen added: "Having said that, he's so ingrained into Liverpool and the fans love him, he’s grown up with the club and it’s such a strong connection.
"It’s only Real Madrid that could make him have a think, if not then you’d have to assume he’ll be at Liverpool forever. I hope that is the case but he might have a decision to make."
Liverpool will be desperate to tie Alexander-Arnold down to a new contract as soon as possible and a positive start to life under Arne Slot could help convince the Reds' No.66 to stay on Merseyside.
