Liverpool transfers: Micah Richards predicts Mo Salah's next move

Micah Richards has predicted that Mo Salah will stay at Liverpool, despite being in the final season of his current deal.

Salah dropped a huge hint about his future following Sunday's dominant victory against Manchester United, reiterating on Sky Sports that this is 'my last year' at the club.

Such admissions from the Egyptian have prompted fears to rise among the Liverpool faithful that an Anfield departure for their talisman is drawing near.

However, Richards believes the 32-year-old will remain on Merseyside beyond the end of this campaign, not least because Liverpool cannot afford to offload Salah, irrespective of his age.

"I think he is going to stay," said the outspoken pundit. "I think there was an opportunity for him to go last year, a Saudi club was linked with him. Obviously, Mane went out to Saudi. But I just think, 'what’s the point in selling Salah?'

"He’s in the best shape of his life, he's ripped, he still works hard, he still changes games. I think he will sign a new deal. I think he will sign for another two years. I don’t think Liverpool could let him go for a free, especially with the shape he’s in,” said Richards, when speaking on on The Rest Is Football podcast.

No signs of Salah slowing down

Mo's start to his eighth season at Liverpool has been as impressive as ever, with the winger continuing to show how crucial he is to the Reds.
