Former Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo has been named the most likely candidate to be masked rapper DIDE following an AI investigation.

DIDE, a rapper that has risen to prominence due to uncertainty over his identity, is known for wearing a black rose mask and has previously claimed to be a Premier League footballer.

Football fans have tried their best to uncover his identity by looking for clues in his lyrics, but such detective work has proved ultimately unsuccessful so far.

The likes of Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah, Chelsea's Noni Madueke and Fulham's Alex Iwobi have all been suggested as the man under DIDE's mask, but artificial intelligence software points to former Red Ojo instead.

SHEYI OJO LIKELY TO BE MASKED RAPPER DIDE

According to AI voice recognition software, provided by GitHub, Ojo, who is currently a Cardiff City player, has an 89% chance of being DIDE.

Such calculations have been made after a recent interview Ojo conducted with Sky Sports was run through the AI software.

Head of PR for Best Payout Online Slots Liam Solomon told Daily Star Sport: "Using AI speech recognition which uses deep neural networks to determine pitch, tone, speed of speech to match voice recordings software, we have managed to narrow down the potential professional footballer behind the mask.

"The AI has given a 89% match to Cardiff City player Sheyi Ojo. He seems like a prime candidate with players heading to the Euros ruled out of contention and recently finishing a loan spell in Belgium."

However, it's not yet confirmed that Ojo is DIDE of course, with other candidates assessed by the AI software as well.

Nketiah was closest to Ojo and has a 61% chance of being DIDE, while Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson (51%), former Everton midfielder Iwobi (42%) and Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey (29%) are also in the mix.

Ojo came through the Liverpool academy and spent seven years at Anfield after venturing into the first-team, although much of his game time came on loan at other clubs.

In the end, he made just 13 senior appearances before leaving permanently for Cardiff in 2022.
