One of the main criticisms LeBron has received is for the decision by the Lakers to draft his son, Bronny.
Bronny has subsequently took the court for the Lakers to become the first father and son duo to play together in the same team in the NBA.
However, Bronny has struggled to make his mark during the beginning of his NBA career and has spent most of his time on the bench or playing for the South Bay Lakers in the G-League.
The pressure so far to follow in his father's footsteps has been a burden too difficult to bare. And Bronny is not alone in his struggles, LeBron is going through a tough time as well it seems.
LeBron James going through 'personal' issues
The FSG partner and Liverpool part owner hasn't been his best on the court. Expectations have been high for the Lakers but the team has struggled and LeBron's performances haven't been the same standard as they have been in the past.
LeBron has seemingly struggled to cope with the critics as well. Recently, he made the decision to remove himself from social media.
'And with that said I'll holla at y'all! Getting off social media for the time being. Y'all take care,' the 39-year-old said in post on his Instagram and X account last month in which he included a peace sign and crown emoji.
Now LeBron was not spotted in training on Wednesday, which caused a major alarm in the Lakers media scene.
After that, it has become apparent that LeBron has made himself unavailable for the Lakers in the lead up to the busy Christmas period in the NBA.
The Lakers head coach, JJ Redick, revealed following the training session that LeBron is not available due to 'personal reasons.'
"LeBron is not with the team right now," Redick said after practice. "He's out for personal reasons, excused absence."
The Lakers coach added that the veteran is 'taking some time' and did not have a timeframe for when James would return to the team.
Over the last couple of years, LeBron has had to go through a lot on and off the court. He's son Bronny suffered a heart attack while he was still in college.
Meanwhile, he's faced added scrutiny and pressure on social media.
There's even speculations about a potential trade away from the Lakers. Although that would be unlikely considering he brought his son to team this summer.
